The Internet Doesn’t Care If You Smell

Whatever scent shall I wear to Deutschland?

I have some hot news items for you today, oboy.  First of all, Chris Semple has recently created an Exciting New Video for the internet.  It’s about bugs, and features the use of my vocal cords.

My Dad has also unleashed himself upon the world in Internet Video Form.  That is to say, his band, New Moon, has put up a clip from a recent show.  Dad used to be in a bluegrass string band called Blue Moon, but members have shifted around, and now he’s part of New Moon Trio.  He plays the bass.  Check out Locally Grown Northfield for a little more info on the band.

There’s also a comic artist I only just discovered (even though she was at this year’s SPX!), to whom I think you should be introduced, if you aren’t already.  Her name is Jess Fink, and she does a webcomic called “Chester 5000 XYV.”  It’s set in Victorian times, and it’s about a woman who falls in love with a robot created by her husband to fulfill her, erm, copious needs.  The illustrations are beautiful: both fluid and firm, and I’m not just making innuendo.

Fink also has a blog, which provides information on her various illustration projects, and other interesting things.  Two excellent videos I discovered this way were “Safe For Work Porn” and a new take on “Take On Me.”
