Such Lovely, Loving Sisters
The weekend was fun!
On Friday I attended “Man Night,” a night of manliness among my Northfield guy friends, to which my vagina was somehow invited. There was beer, barbecuing, wrestling, lightsaber fighting, and trampolining. We also watched “Die Hard.”
On Saturday, Sarah G and Phoebe and I showed our patriotism by watching an obscene number of “Skins” episodes. (I introduced them to it last week and they were quickly hooked.) As an additional patriotic act, we cooked Mexican food. Also we watched the fireworks, but they were lame.
On Sunday Sarah came over again to finish Skins (she and Phoebe were just as enraged as I was by the horror that is the second season), and we made a Turkish meal, with all my Neukölln favorites: orange lentil soup, flatbread, and rice-stuffed grape leaves.
Today I had a physical!

I am STILL angry at Skins. I think I was having dreams about it last night. Chris! CHRIS!!! GAAAAHHHH!!!!!!

Today I met someone who went to Carleton College. And I was all like “Northfield?” And she was like, “Uh-huh.” And then I was like, “So, St. Olaf’s?” And she said “Um…well, yeah.” And then I was like, “Blue Monday?” And she said, “Yeah, totally.” And then I gave her your URL.
I’ve done my civic duty and advertised Action Athena. Now please post more about Minnesota so I may appear “in the know”. Thank you.

Phoebe: Isn’t that all we do?
Goldfeather: I realized that Phoebe does wear her glasses pretty often, and that your eyes are cracked-out pretty much always. Probably because you smoke crack.
