Minnipeg Part 3
Well this comic is going up absurdly early, isn’t it. It’s because I’ve gotta take my computer to the Apple store in a half hour, and I don’t know if I’ll get it back all weekend.
Hey, have you heard about the dude who got back at United for breaking his guitar by writing a country song about it? It’s called “United Breaks Guitars.” Seems like a pleasant way to get revenge—and two free Taylor guitars.
Before I heard that guy’s song, though, I heard Loudon Wainwright’s United-broke-my-guitar song, “Unfriendly Skies.” He played it at, yes, Winnipeg, which brings us FULL CIRCLE, WITH THE COMIC RELATING TO THIS BIT OF WRITING ISN’T IT CONVENIENT.
Anyway, have a good weekend.

Yeah, and we also heard at Winnipeg that United not only misplaced Del McCoury’s guitar but they lost his bass player! Del ended up borrowing both from either the Punch Brothers or Chatham County Line for the Bluegrass Hootenanny Friday afternoon.

The moral is, United owes a lot of people guitars.

Your dad’s face in the last panel is priceless. Don’t bring it on United.
