Summer 2009 Pt 2
Regarding Ghost World, I’m never sure whether I’m the sidekick or the leading lady:
Enid Coleslaw: “Impulsive, cynical and bitter, the strip’s lead character drifts through her life without care, criticizing almost everyone she meets.”
Rebecca Doppelmeyer: “She has no particular aspiration in life, clinging to and obsessing over the past.”
Perhaps the lamest thing about my constantly comparing my life to these characters is the fact that, in their story, Enid and Rebecca have just graduated from high school, whereas I am entering my final year of college.
Orientation is over. I met a few first years who like comics; there was one group that did a “6-Hour Comic” project. I wish I could’ve seen them working on it. Any first years out there who want to talk about comics? I’d be down.
Guess what. Twilight tattoos.

It says so little, it says so much. I simply love it.

Mom: I hope you and dad get tattoos. And stupid ones at that. Because then Phoebe and I can get tattoos and be like, “Hey. Come on, Mom. At least ours aren’t as bad as that atrocity on your bicep.”
Danno: OMG I’d love to! However, Hampshire’s already got a “comics collective” group that runs some comics-related activities. They buy comics for the library, and last year they went to SPX. I miss the jams, though, I’m tellin’ ya.

Wait, do I have a moustache in that group therapy picture? What the hell?

Mickey: Ha, no, it’s supposed to be your upper lip, but it looks waaaaay more like a moustache. Man, you should give that style of facial hair a try.
