The Connecticut River
I still can’t believe I’m going. I don’t think I will actually believe it until next September. Listen, I have been obsessively following this place and its students for a long time now, and believe me: they are obsession-worthy. I expect I’ll have my ass handed to me many, many times next fall. I can’t wait.
Oh, and as long as I’m already drawing “gee what a coincidence” geographical connections between myself and CCS, I might as well mention how many MIDWESTERNERS were present at portfolio day! I mean, there were people from lots of places, but the Midwest was surprisingly well represented. Of the 21 potential students at portfolio day, there were:
* 2 from Ohio
* 2 from Iowa
* 2 from Minnesota (not including me)
* 1 from Nebraska
* 2 from New York
* 1 from Massachusetts (not including Nate)
* 1 from Virginia
* 1 from North Carolina
* 1 from Rhode Island
* 1 from Maine
* 1 from Vermont (Burlington, not White River Junction)
* Plus our Hampshire trio: Minnesota, Massachusetts, and California.
That’s eighteen people. Guess I missed three.
Finally: Slut stuff is due TOMORROW. Ya hear me, internet? I’ma spend much of Thanksgiving Break working on this shit, so GIVE IT HERE.
