Incidentally, neither my dad, mom, or me could identify me on this (though I could identify pretty much everyone else I know, so clearly your caricature abilities are generally sound!).
My dad on why my drawing doesn’t look like me: “I think she loves you but is trying to repress it,”

That said, I LOVE Tabitha’s drawing.

Hahahahaha. Merry Christmas, Dylan. This is what you get for being my snarkiest commenter.
SEE YOU SOON!

Awww! Merry Christmas Athena!

Lastly, I like how you are literally two to three times as wide as your sister. If this is true then she has a serious health problem.

YAY!!!! This deserves to be printed out. Onto a layer cake.
I agree with Dylan–I could identify most people without the caption…but why you draw your ass and thighs that big is a mystery to me…I also notice that you are dressed in School Year Hipster and I am dressed in Summer Hippie. The duality of our attire is represented here, and I approve.
I want to play Banana Freaking Fracking Grahams. You hear??

Thanks for the compliments and holiday wishes, guys!
As for why I draw my ass to be so rotund…
There are lots of answers.
The sad one is that, after spending all of college hearing comments like these
http://actionathena.com/2008/11/12/i-am-never-getting-naked-in-front-of-a-boy-again/
my self-image is even more warped than when I entered Hampshire. That’s too bad.
The less-sad answers are that: 1) there are too many stick-thin female cartoon characters (particularly in manga), and it pisses me off, and I want no part of it. 2) I admire cartoonists like Jaime Hernandez who manage to make VERY curvaceous/fat female characters look attractive and cool–I aspire to do the same. 3) cartoons are about exaggeration–I stretch and shrink body parts and facial features on pretty much all of my characters. 4) I really enjoy drawing round things.
