The PVTA

I’ll miss you a lot, buses.

Despite how dang hard it’s raining today, I think I’m gonna ride me a bus to Amherst later this afternoon.  Then I’ll buy some candy in CVS and sit in the basement of the Amherst library with a fat stack of comics.

This is a ritual I have performed embarrassingly often while at Hampshire, and a ritual I know I’m going to miss.

Yeah, that bus system is pretty amazing…

…and your bicycle can ride along with you too.

I saw this at the gallery show and forgot to comment. It’s a little too freakin’ obvious that I’d appreciate this. BUT I DO.

Riding the bus through the valley is something I just did when I was stressed out sometimes. There were Div III deadline nights where I worked at both Smith and Mt. Holyoke because I needed a long bus break. Portland has pretty similar buses, but there are few places where they go 40mph through the hills, and they’re never free (not no more anyway).

Tabitha, I feel exactly the same about riding the buses during times of stress. I feel like the act of physically moving myself from one place to another made me feel like I was being a little productive. Even if there was no REASON for me to go to Noho, the bus ride still seemed like a good step forward.
