Four Days Now
Today is my first day as a “real” Blue Monday employee, not just a trainee. I’m excited!
More exciting than my own meager employment accomplishments, however, is the news that, yesterday afternoon, my mom was hired for a full time fourth grade teaching job. She’ll start in the fall. We were all wishing and hoping (and, in my grandmother’s case, praying) for her, and are feeling very happy now.
Home just four days and already I’ve eaten a family dinner on the patio, gossiped with Phoebe in the family room, chatted with Madelyn in Blue Monday, walked Carleton campus with William in the dark, walked Dixie downtown with Chris Schodt…and I hear tell that Ms. Goldfeather may be rolling in to town as soon as this evening. Northfield, you’re too good to me!
Oh! And for those still pondering turning something in to Lutefisk Sushi (DUE DATE = JUNE 15), the Big Time Attic blog recently posted a lovely detailed guide to minicomic production.

Hey, I’ll have to check out the Lutefisk Sushi Mini…
…though, in your case, wouldn’t it be a Tofu Sushi Mini?

This is a positively jubilant entry in the annals of Action Athena. Woo hoo!

Happiness? BOR-ING. I’ll let it go for a few weeks maybe. After that, I better see some bitching. Maybe some raw misery even, to make up for it.

Great news! I’m closing in on my submission as well. Hope to see you at the St. Paul jam!

Casey and Tabitha: Yeah, I know…too happy! I’m gonna have to take up heroin (I hear it’s popular in this town) in order to make my life dramatic enough to make good comic material.
Jon: Good luck finishing it up! I’m excited to see the result! And yes, I’m hoping to be at the next St Paul jam.
