Dinner With My Parents

Part way through the above conversation, my Dad started laughing and said, “This would make a good comic. Your mother encouraging you to watch porn.” I told him I would definitely make it a comic, because it’s a perfect example to offer to the people who ask me how my parents can POSSIBLY tolerate the comics I make. SEE GUYS? As my mother likes to say, I come by it honestly.

Anyway.  I hope you guys had a good weekend.  I did.  Playing at the Cow was fun; Dad mentioned the fact that it was his and my mom’s 27th wedding anniversary and it was adorable.  I stuck around for a long time afterward with some friends.  You know it was a good night if it ends with a drunk guy insulting (playfully) the jean jacket you’re wearing (it was mom’s), and then calling you Liz Lemon.

There is no higher compliment than being mistaken for Liz.

I wasn’t just encouraging her to WATCH porn…I wanted her to evaluate it, sum it up, help me get a handle on it. I am sometimes so slow that I was looking to my savvy daughter to help me out.

    Oh man. Fantastic.
