Vagina Time
In case any of you are confused: Vagina Time was the name for nights when the Hampshire ladies I knew would hang out and bitch about stuff. I think the name originated during first year when small groups of us would go to the sauna together. By Div III, we would just meet in the living room of Mod 83 or 16 and eat and drink and let our tits hang loose.
Hannah recently emailed out a beautiful collage tribute to Vagina Time (so beautiful, it inspired me to draw the above tribute). Here’s a detail from her piece:

Note: Sasha is a year younger than the rest of us. Therefore, she’s not quite a graduate. But her wonderful fiance is, and so, um, close enough!

Vagina time is a much cooler name than “Girls’ night” or something equally dorky. Back in the days of Our Bodies Ourselves, women were encouraged to use mirrors to look at their vaginas and make a party of it. I never went that far, but I appreciated the thought.

^ (Sarah: I think we originally started calling it Vagina Time ’cause a couple of the female-bodied ppl. in our group are genderqueer, and the name just stuck.)
Athena, this is great! I miss you all so much… I was just remarking to Chris last night that I miss being able to complain about my period to my housemates.

Love Love Love Love Love
Also, I like that it looks like me, Hannah, and Diana are flying above the rest of you. We’re like the animorph that got stuck as a hawk and has to always fly around with the gang! Or like guardian angels. Whichever is less weird to you. Or more weird, if you prefer. <3

Lizz, we’re all flying (well, not Athena), but it’s true that you’re flying even higher. There has to be an Animorphs metaphor for that too somehow.
Ah, my heart is warmed. Now I can go take care of other human needs, like eating.

I like that Kate and I are wearing matching shoes. Actually, as I look closer, I see that Tabitha and Sasha are also rocking the flats. (Was somebody too lazy to draw shoe laces? Hmm?) Anyway, as Aliya would say: SHOE SISTERS!!

Ms. Currier I miss you and all these lovely ladies as well. I want you all to know this is now my computer background at work.
Sasha pointed out last night that Athena and I are the only ones wearing pants. I approve of this decision.

Also, I like the fact that I can still embroider while flying. Mad skillz yo!

Ahhh, ladies I am so glad you all liked this!
Sarah D., I definitely gave thought to the question of pants. Heh heh…
