Bath Aggression

Dixie is currently a very clean and very angry dog.

Today I  head back to Blue Monday, well rested after a full five days away.  The last five days were full of: Laurel Avenue, barbecued asparagus, beer, canned bubble tea, Green Mill trivia night, Banagrams (played both sober and as a drinking game), the arb, the golf course, the Carleton garage sale, thunder and lightning, Mumford & Sons, Trampled By Turtles, Twin Peaks, lots and lots of Sarah Goldfeather (I can never get enough!), and (as of last night) a pudding cake.

Tonight I think I’m gonna be carding people at the Taste of Northfield’s beer garden. Then on Saturday I plan to be at Open Book in Minneapolis for that all day Graphic Novel Conference.  Then in the evening I’ll be back in Northfield playing with my dad’s band at the Grand.  (It’s my mom’s 30th Carleton reunion this weekend, and we’re playing for a Class of ’80 party that’s being held there.)

Very busy, very happy!

  1. William Says:

Where do you get canned bubble tea?

  2. Casey Says:

    Seconding William’s question.

Also, your second paragraph makes me think that you have died and gone to some sort of glorious afterlife. Keep on rocking it, girl.

  3. Evan Larkin Says:

    3rding the aforementioned question.

And if there isn’t yet another storm, I will likely be beering at that garden.

  4. Goldfeather Says:

TO CASEY AND WILLIAM: You get it at Rainbow Foods, where your wildest fantasies come true.

TO ATHENA: The addiction is mutual. Also I finished Ghost World last night and suspect we inadvertently model our lives after Enid and Becky. Eeeeeerie.

I saw the best bumper-sticker yesterday, “Keep Portland Passive Aggressive! (if you don’t mind too much)”

Whoever that passive-aggressive jerk was needs to suck a lemon. I’m glad everything else is rocking pretty hard though. Reminds me to get more involved in stuff, though I keep putting things off until I find a job (er, a job I can afford to take).

  6. Ross Currier Says:

Hey, where did you catch Trampled by Turtles?

  7. Athena Says:

Tabitha: THANK you. I wish I’d had a lemon to hand him. Also, I hope your job search is going okay. You would be a wonderful addition to any Portland business/nonprofit/museum/etc.

Dad: We didn’t see them live, we’re just really digging one of the songs from their latest album.
