Kate in Minnesota
Hello guys! Oh man: busy times this weekend! In a good way, as you can hopefully tell from the comic. It was GREAT to have Kate and Rebecca here, and to show Kate around Minnesota (after I spent four years of college blathering to her about how awesome this place is). The reason they’re roadtripping from their home in the suburbs of Boston all the way to San Francisco is because Kate has been accepted into a five-year PhD program in Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Rebecca (her friend from high school) is just along for the ride!
Our wonderful and thoroughly Midwestern fourth of July weekend included patriotic sundresses and five homemade pies:
Now the girls are gone and I’m alone again, but HEY GUESS WHAT there are only FIVE DAYS till Zinefest. By which I mean it is THIS SATURDAY, 11:00-5:00. Admission is free. This is your big chance to buy copies of my minicomics and (dun dun dun!) BURN BOOK! Remember that?

OH, wish I could come to Zinefest and see you. I’ve been reading actionathena on & off since Ross pointed me to it last fall. I’ll be inDuluth tho, celebrating the in-laws’ 60th Wedding anniversary. Darn. I have some great ‘zines I could share with you.

Erik, I’m sorry you couldn’t come! I wonder if you are talking about the restaurant my dad used to work at in Minneapolis? I’ve heard a lot of good things about that place. I hope your weekend up north was good. Perhaps I’ll see you at MIX come August!
